Thank you to all that attended our interest meeting last night!
We were so excited to see so many new faces and we look forward to getting to know each one of you!
Just a recap on the information we gave out last night:
Practices to learn the audition choreography:
Jazz Choreography – Sunday, September 7 ( in Hanover Hall)
1 – 2 pm Intermediate
2 -3 pm Advanced
Contemporary Choreography – Monday, September 8 (in Hanover Hall)
7- 8 pm Intermediate
8 – 9 pm Advanced
Review of both audition pieces – Tuesday September 9 (in Rec center, room # TBA)
9:45 – 11 pm Optional for anyone
*Due to space availability, please only attend one session. The choreographed pieces are the same for both levels.*
**Anyone planning on auditioning must learn both pieces.**

In exactly 3 weeks, Dance Company will be taking the stage to present their 7th Annual Showcase, “Rumble in the Jungle”!
A message from our Dance Co. presidents:
“Dance Company is a completely student-run organization at UNCW. Endless amounts of hard work from these students is put into choreographing dances, planning the annual showcase, philanthropy, social events, and fundraisers. Another aspect of being a student-run organization is that Dance Company is self-supported financially. Although the university pays for our showcase venue, Dance Company members are responsible for financing costumes, decorations, showcase apparel, extra rehearsal space, advertisement, video recording, social events, philanthropy, and much more! As you can imagine, it takes a lot of fundraisers to finance our organization and make it the best organization it could possibly be. However, fundraisers are not always enough! If you support what Dance Company is about—spreading the art of dance to students and the Wilmington community, then please consider sponsoring Dance Company. Sponsoring Dance Company is easy and only requires a donation of any amount! Interested Seahawk Dancers
The last couple of weeks the UNCW Dance Company has experienced very high numbers of interest for our 2013-2014 season! We are so excited to continue growing as an organization and we can’t wait to see all of your amazing talent this fall at our open auditions… Stay tuned for updates with dates and times!
